Ever since its launch in December 2019, &TV’s Ek Mahanayak, Dr B.R. Ambedkar etched a prominent place in millions of Indian hearts. The show narrates Dr Ambedkar’s journey from the age of five to him becoming the man and the prime architect of the Indian constitution. This year on the 130^th year of Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14^th, Buddha Creation of Indian Cinema (BCIC), in association with the Republican Films & TV Association (RFTA), felicitated the show’s lead actors, Aayudh Bhanushal, who portrays the role of young Bhimrao, and Jagganath Nivangune, who performs the role of Bhimrao’s father, Ramji Sakpal in &TV’s Ek Mahanayak, Dr B.R. Ambedkar with 11th Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Awards 2021.

Speaking about receiving the notable award, Jagannath Nivangune shared, “It is such a big honour and great pride to receive the prestigious Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Award. Since its launch, our show been receiving immense love and appreciation from viewers across the nation for its strong narrative and powerful characters. The show has set a new benchmark, and the viewers greatly admire every character. I receive several messages every day appreciating the show and my role as Ramji Sakpal. It is such a big moment for all our us and the entire cast and crew of Ek Mahanayak Dr BR Ambedkar. We are deeply humbled with so much love, appreciation and recognition.”

To commemorate the 130^th year of Ambedkar Jayanti, &TV launched ‘130 karod deshwasiyon ka Dr B.R Ambedkar ki 130vi Jayanti par shat shat naman’, celebrating Babasaheb’s teachings and vision.
