A Sneak Peek into Indian Film Stars Bedrooms

Wondering what your favorite actor or actress's boudoir looks like? It's more luxurious and stylish than you can imagine

From spaces drenched in traditional Indian designs and vivid hues to others displaying stunning, modern aesthetics … here’s a look book to fuel your daydreams.

Who lives here: Irrfan Khan, his wife Sutapa Sikdar and their two sons, Babil and Ayan
Location: Madh Island, Mumbai
Interior designer: Shabnam Gupta of The Orange Lane

Khan’s stunning bedroom is an all-white space accentuated with wooden flooring, and turquoise cushions and headboard. Ethnic Indian art takes centre stage here with a hand-drawn Gond painting.

Who lives here: Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy
Location: Hyderabad
Architectural designers: Aamir Sharma of Aamir & Hameeda Associates

Raw, natural and minimalistic – this bedroom located at the very end of the home’s linear layout makes a lasting impression. All elements of the space have a tactile, hand-made look to them – be it the raised platform bed made of cement, the exposed ceiling and piping or the stone-finished fiber tiles and slate walls.

Who lives here: Parineeti Chopra
Location: Bandra, Mumbai
Interior designer: Shabnam Gupta, The Orange Lane

The woody master bedroom with veneer paneling on all its walls gets visual relief with the white ceiling, ottoman and bedding. One side of the bedroom opens onto a balcony with a vertical garden.

Who lives here: John Abraham
Location: Bandra, Mumbai
Interior designer: Abraham John, Alan Abraham, Anca Florescu and Anahita Shivdasani, of Abraham John Architects

Abraham’s bedroom pulsates with a masculine vibe: it has dark-stained wooden flooring, dim lights, a low bed, black chaise longue and a private balcony, separated by a double-glazed sliding door that allows natural light and ventilation in. The private breakout area gives panoramic views of the mighty Arabian sea.

Who lives here: Monica Bedi
Location: Malad West, Mumbai
Architectural designer: Priyanka P. Mehra of PS Design

The pretty pink master bedroom has a lot of personality and is reflective of Bedi’s strong affinity for floral and bright hues. The room is designed in shades of pink, where the printed wallpaper draws attention; pink accents can be seen on the headboard as well as on other accessories too. White bed linen, cabinets and curtains pare down the dominance of the vibrant hue.
