This is the newest addition to Alexander McQueen’s collection of Story handbags

FT NEWS

Structured, bold yet restrained, Alexander McQueen’s line of handbags under ‘The Story’ collection are characterised by the house’s modernistic metal handle. The collection first introduced the ’Story Book,' a linear clutch with adaptable hardware, followed by a softer pouch adorned with oversized quilting and metal handle, called the ‘Small Story’. More detailed versions with gold-finished eyelets, tonal leather knots, silver studs on black, were featured in the next rendition of shoulder bags that were introduced with spring/summer in 2020. Worn by the likes of Naomi Campbell, Selena Gomez, Kaia Gerber, Ana De Armas, Laura Dern and more, the jewellery-inspired cuff handled bags have quickly become party favourites.

Newest to the roster is the 'Tall Story', an oversized tote inspired by the line’s original structure and dark colour codes. Debuted on the autumn/winter 2020 runway, the sculptural lines of the tote are enhanced by options in contrast colour lining and the season’s themed patchwork. Handheld by the metal cuff or carried over the shoulders with leather straps, the tote is comfortably sized to fit all essentials. Look out for the black stamped croc leather, handmade patchwork style in autumn hues, and quilted versions in statement reds. In a perfect blend of timeless design and contemporary finishes, the ‘Tall Story’ makes for an ideal addition to your wardrobe that can adapt to the changing times.
