Shweta Bachchan Nanda in a multi-hyphenate with a best-selling book and a fashion line that she co-designs with couturier Monisha Jaising. However, her laurels don’t end there.  In an interview with Vogue India, she credited her decades-long run on the best-dressed charts to acute sartorial self-awareness. “While I do stay updated with trends, I won't wear something I know will not suit me. While her off-duty uniform features understated pieces, Bachchan Nanda’s traditional wardrobe clocks in at the opposite end of the spectrum. On the social circuit, she knows when to pull out the maximalist polki necklaces and when to reach for more subtle pieces. Strapless blouses and sleek necklaces have never fallen out of favour in her traditional wardrobe—the 46-year-old has one for every occasion and yet, no two are alike. On those days when you want your bandhini sari to have its time in the spotlight, follow her lead and drape a golden band around your neck. Further proof of the versatility of this staple silhouette can be found in the use she has gotten out of it—paired with tulle saris and studded golden gowns alike.
