All the new designer launches that need to be on your radar

New Delhi-based streetwear label, Smokewear has joined hands with Lovebirds for an upcycled capsule collection of new age basics. Scoring high on comfort, the gender-fluid line brings together Smokewear's stark monochromatic contrast with whimsical tailoring and shapes from Lovebirds. Co-ord sets, basketball shorts, oversized jackets and polka dotted T-shirts dominate the collection.

Arpita Mehta

Right in time for the upcoming festive season, Arpita Mehta’s namesake label dropped a new collection titled ‘Blurred Lines’, reimagining the brand’s signature in new prints and embroidery. The label's classic prints have received a contemporary update as has the bright colour palette that has moved to muted hues of camels and tan, blues and teals.

Doodlage x Iro Iro

For the very first time, clothing brand Doodlage has collaborated with Iro Iro for a home decor capsule collection. For the same, the brands have worked with local artisans from villages near Jaipur to create upcycled home furnishings including cushion covers, mats, table runners and robes. According to the brand, “This layered project has allowed us to experiment with and explore alternatives, in collaboration with the extremely capable team at Iro Iro. We worked with local artisans from villages near Jaipur, who helped create this collection from their houses, operating with all precautions through this pandemic.”

Pebble Pod

Airpod fans, if you’ve been struggling to wear earrings while listening to your favourite music, then Suhani Parekh of Misho has an antidote—Pebble pods. Inspired by the label’s best selling pebble rings, the gold earrings not only help hold the listening device in place but also catches it if it happens to fall out. Bonus: they look cool even without the Airpods. If you’ve been planning to upgrade your jewellery collection with something off-beat, this is exactly what you need.

Fizzy Goblet

In an effort to help young girls continue to receive proper education during a pandemic, Fizzy Goblet has joined hands with an NGO called Nanhi Kali for a gift box. “The education of a child, especially a girl child, is the first major step towards real change in India. I have always believed in Nanhi Kali and associated with them personally throughout the years, but with the impact of COVID, supporting their cause now is more important than ever before," says Laksheeta Govil, founder of Fizzy Goblet.

Raw Mango

Raw Mango, the label known for bringing Indian simplicity to the spotlight by crafting timeless handwoven ensembles with each collection, has launched a new line showcasing botanical prints. “Featuring India's abundant flora and fauna, each design is hand painted then digitally rendered onto silks and sheer organza,” says Sanjay Garg.
