This collaborative collection of comfortable and chic nightwear draws inspiration for its delightfully graphic prints from Shakespeare’s, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 

In this quirky collection of sleepwear, maximalism meets minimalism as only “the lunatic, the lover and the poet” could imagine. Here whimsical meets meticulous detail and pretty meets protest, merging into a dreamlike collection that draws from Shakespeare’s words of poetry, and spinning a chiding into an act of joyful defiance. Entirely handmade, all-cotton and styled in distinctive prints, Samyukta Nair’s Dandelion is redefining sleepwear in India, celebrating the many avatars we don each day, laying to rest for the night. 

Ayushman Mitra, of BOBO Calcutta, says, “This collaboration above all celebrates the 'dreamer’- the very idea of submerging oneself in the whimsical fantasies of our imagination. Taking inspiration from Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' we created original artworks that were developed into prints that feature in the collection. Lovers perched on floating clouds, eyes laden with fresh bloom, sipping sweet nectar amidst changing hues of the autumn skies.” 

Brought to life by Samyukta and Ayushman, two self-proclaimed romantics, the idea of love is central to this collection. You see it in the gentle brushstrokes that form the swirl of a cloud and expressions on a character, in the serene colour pallet inspired by the many moods of a sky, and dreamy pocket details that bring to mind a sprinkling of stardust (created with delicate arrey threadwork). Here, fabric, colour, and craftsmanship are combined to lull you into deep-sleep with a smile on your face. It is everything and yet minimalist enough to encourage a good night’s sleep, a collection made for the wearer- free of pretense, an indulgence for the sake of rest.

‘Lunatics, Lovers, and Poets’ brings back Dandelion’s classic notched collar set and quintessential robe with new silhouettes including a pajama set in one hundred percent cotton. The collection also introduces a new line of accessories including toiletry kits, makeup pouches, utility bags, and slippers.
