Zee TV recently introduced its new show, a unique love story of opposites Teri Meri Ikk Jindri that traces the love story and journey of Mahi and Jogi, who despite their starkly different personalities and outlook towards life, choose to walk together on the common path of love. Featuring television actress Amandeep Sidhu opposite popular television actor Adhvik Mahajan, the show also features actor Manish Verma who has been immensely loved by the audience for the character of Gulshan, a young good-looking college boy who tends to create ruckus in Jogi and Mahi’s life. The actor has been bringing an effortless style to perform this character, giving the show its much needed intrigue.

While acting has always been Manish’s dream, the roots of this dream stem from it being his father’s dream too.  It was only during his college years when Manish began trying his luck in acting. Hailing from Delhi, he didn’t know much about the Mumbai, but that never really stopped him from doing what he wanted or nurturing his skills. Unlike many, his struggle was with his expectations and aspirations to do better every day and prove himself as an actor. Embracing all the opportunities that knocked his door, Manish slowly began finding his way in the industry.

“Mujhe Mumbai ka M bhi nahi pata tha when I moved to the city” says Manish. Talking about he followed his dream he said, “ Acting has always been in the back of my mind, but the problem was I didn’t know where to begin from. I thought that one could get into acting  and make contacts via modelling. So, I started to work as a model but much later I eventually shifted to Mumbai and started giving auditions thereafter. At that time too I didn’t come with a plan as to where to shift and what to do. I knew Film City in Mumbai was big and I settled with my friend close by there. The process of networking and making a step in the industry has been and is still a gradual phase.”

Despite it all the actor never really let the struggle phase get to him. “I have never really focused on the struggle that might have happened and hence I never really felt it so much. My focus ever since I decided to be an actor has been on my target that I want to achieve any how in life. I pay little attention to the smaller problems that come in life” says Manish

While Manish is setting some real goals for actors across the nation, don’t forget to miss his stunning performance in Teri Meri Ikk Jindri.
