Shades of India Launches Their Flagship Fashion Store in Delhi Final Fashion

New Delhi, November, 2018 ------The tradition of textiles in India has a lot in common with that of Indonesia. Both have influenced each other in the use of luxurious silk, in ikat and in print. Our festive collection draws on this common heritage.

Bebali in Indonesia is the term used for the ceremonial attire of the Gods. It has more recently been associated with the preservation of weaving techniques and of natural dyes.

Inspired by this heritage, the collection sings of the rich culture and spirituality of this oriental tradition.

Luxurious fabrics in silk and velvet in intense hues such as mahogany, cinnamon and fuschia have been complemented with hints of lustre throughzari work and gold foiling. They radiate a sense of opulence.

The collection includes versatile separates of classic sarees, contemporary kurtas and playful shararas in ethereal silhouettes that are comfortable and reflect the festive season.

Adding to the beauty of the collection are exquisite accessories including frame bags and neck pieces in colours and textures drawing on nature.

Bebali symbolizes celebration. Each thread sings of the festive season and every stitch pays homage to the timelessness of a rich craft and textile heritage.
