Bamboo: Do You Know About This Wonder Material

Here are few reasons why we love bamboo, and so should you.

Bamboo (Bambusoideae) is a sturdy, lightweight and incredibly renewable material – and though most of us are not aware of this, it is a suitable choice in home decor.

As seen here, bamboo flooring gives this minimalist bedroom a lift. Compared to hardwood, bamboo is a less expensive, sturdier and low-maintenance flooring option (it cleans easily with mild soap and a mop). It is also more resistant to water damage.

The amber headboard doubles as a backdrop for this bed draped in lush green bedding. The graphical bamboo pattern creates visual interest. The side table and curtain rod tie the look together.

While it’s not easy to tell if this bamboo partition is real or faux, it is surely a fun and quirky way to demarcate the dining room and foyer areas.

Bamboo plants infuse freshness and bring a sense of serenity and peace to this dining table. In Feng Shui, the lucky bamboo (Dracaena braunii) is a symbol of good fortune and prosperity.

The woven bamboo shields the area from the harsh sun and lets wind and view through to create a pleasant ambience.
