Most women find pairing their necklace with the right kind of neckline a topsy-turvy task. Picking the right neckpiece to complement the neckline of your outfit can be a tricky job. But if you follow a few rules you can ace the pairing game and be the belle of the ball. Here's a guide to pairing your neckpiece with the right neckline to make your look more flattering.

One-shouldered top

If you are opting for a one-shouldered top, you shouldn't go for any neckpiece with it. Instead style your look with beautiful earrings and bracelets.

Turtle neck

You can style a long chain or a pendant with your turtle neck top or blouse. The right neckline can completely make or break how a neckwear sits on the body. For Indian summers, I’m a fan of plunging V-necks and breathable deep necks, paired with statement chokers that stick close to the neck. There is something very sensuous about that sort of a pairing. But my absolute personal favourite is my everyday go-to winter style - A solid turtleneck paired with a slick herringbone chain, it’s effortless, classy and classic.

Off-shoulder

If you wear an off-shoulder dress or top, make sure you don't overcrowd the neck with heavy neckpieces. A simple pendant can do the magic. Never make the mistake of wearing a choker with your off-shouldered outfit as it looks ridiculous.

V neckline

With your V neckline outfit you should team it up with a similar triangular V-shape necklace that ends just above the neckline. This also brings attention to your decolletage .

Round neck

You can style your round neck blouse with a choker. It can be of diamond, pearl or kundan depending on the function and you are all set to impress with the look.
