Weddings to conferences: Here are moments when Isha Ambani aced Sabyasachi outfits

As a businesswoman who frequents best-dressed lists, Isha Ambani's approach to style is worth taking notes of. With a walk-in brimming with bespoke couture ensembles, the 28-year-old has always been ahead of the curve. For red-carpet events and formal meetings she relies on statement pantsuits and dresses, whereas wedding ceremonies have her dressed in statement lehengas, saris and kurtas. And the one designer label that makes the cut more often than not is none other than Sabyasachi . “Off work, I like wearing international and Indian designers—Valentino, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Dolce & Gabbana, Manish Malhotra, Celine and Sabyasachi are some of my favourites. I love when a garment fits just right, and that's not easy,” Isha Ambani told us in an interview.

While you may have seen her in lehengas more often, saris have a special spot in Ambani’s collection. For Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra’s wedding, she picked champagne gold number by Sabyasachi. On the occasion of the designer's 20th anniversary show, she picked a black ruffled drape, which she styled with his signature belt that accentuated her waistline. For the annual Diwali bash hosted by her parents last year, she chose a mint green silk sari by Sabyasachi, featuring illustrated floral motifs that were woven with pure zari. She styled her drape with a maroon velvet blouse, which came accentuated with zardozi work.

For a wedding ceremony in Mumbai, Ambani turned heads in a Sabyasachi lehenga featuring a salmon-coloured blouse, a pistachio dupatta, and a busy skirt that brought both hues together. Her wedding trousseau was not without his couture ensembles and Ambani wore a maroon creation from the couturier’s ‘Revival Series’ for her reception ceremony: an embroidered blouse, voluminous velvet skirt and a dupatta that was covered with zardozi work.

A stark contrast to her occasionwear looks, Ambani's preferred outfit for work is a simple kurta set. True to her style (and to her love for the designer), she made an appearance at the 42nd annual general meeting of Reliance Industries Limited in a romantic floral kurta and palazzo pants set by Sabyasachi. Featuring large floral blooms, her outfit made a great pick for every woman who loves playing with prints.
